Nanna Barslev is a renowned nordic dark folk and viking music artist and composer from Denmark.

Nanna invites you into a hidden world between darkness and light in nature and human nature. Holding a fire torch in the cold nordic winter night, leading you on a journey through time and space, between dream and consciousness, through the misty underworld roots to ancient mountain calls, from shield maidens battle fields to meditative healing spells. Nanna Barslevs solo album “Lysbærer”, (released on By Nose Music 2022, Wardruna etc. ) has received international high recognitions for the unique Nordic expression and musical integrity in the genre, a outcome of Nannas solid experience in the dark folk genre since the early 1990’s known as the front woman in the folkmetal band Huldre, Asynje, Gny and more.

Nanna Barslev performs at Midgardsblot with her mesmerising voice led by the beat of the bodhran drum together with her musicians playing a collection of various traditional Nordic bowed instruments such as moraharpa, nyckelharpa, tagelharpa etc.
