Welcome to Norse TattooCon

Tattoo artist Tor Ola Svennevig from Ihuda Tattoo studio are bringing with him some of the leading artists of tattooing and norse styles to Midgardsblot this year for the third Norse TattooCon! The Tattoo stands are open from 18:00 on Thursday 14:00 on Friday and from 14:00 on Saturday. There is a limited number of sessions so please book an appointment directly with the artist beforehand.

The Norse TattooCon is held at the festival area and you'll need to buy a festivalticket or pass to enter.

Tor Ola Svennevig / Ihuda Tattoo

Tor Ola Svennevig founded Ihuda Tattoo studio (meaning "In the skin") in Fredrikstad, Norway in 2001.

Born and raised in the dark forests of eastern Norway, he got caught by the old Norwegian heritage and the traditions of tattooing from an early age. He is a graduate from art school and also as a silver and goldsmith. Tor Ola is a self taught tattooer and has the last years been only focusing on the hand tattooing technique. Inspired by nature and the old Norse ornamental styles, Tor Ola brings his own style into his works, carrying on the old traditions.

Jannicke Wiese-Hansen / Nidhogg Tattoo

For the third time, Jannicke Wiese-Hansen, from Nidhogg Tattoo in Bergen, Norway, is joining the NorseCon at Midgardsblot. Having tattooed for close to 24 years, she is known for both her woodcarving style of tattooing and also for being the designer of several black metal logos and album artwork for bands like Immortal, Enslaved, Burzum, Satyricon, Mork, Orcustus and Gaahls Wyrd.

Sjalg Otto Unnison

Sjalg Otto Unnison 33 years old, is the owner of Bergen Piercing and has been a body piercer for 7 years. He's been working at Let's Buzz for many years, but this year he opened Bergen's first pure piercing shop at Bryggen. Quality is the key, and all piercings performed by him has to be perfect. Sean Parry/ Sacred Knot Tattoo

Sean Parry is the founder and main artist at Sacred Knot Tattoo, based in Manchester, England. Having grown up in North Wales on a mountain peninsula called the Great Orme, his love of Celtic and Norse culture, history and art fuels his tattooing. He specialises in Celtic and Norse neo-traditional dotwork, aiming to capture the magic of knotwork and spirals, of which the ancient inhabitants of the North were all so fond.

Kila Paola Brenna and Fiumix Fiumcelli of Venetkens Tattoo in Italy will be joining us with their wonderful Celtic and Norse inspired Tattoo art.
